Mark,
XLCubed works in excel 97 upwards and has an explorer mode which will
do simple lists which retails at 99 US dollars per seat for 10 seats
and above. Explorer does not have the functionality of the full
product but does do drill down, pivoting and drillthough so should do
more than what you want.

Alternatively, here is a link to some VBA code that John Keeley posted
sometime ago which will dump an MDX query into excel .. not tried in
97 but I see no reason why it would not work if you want to roll your
own app.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Hi ,
I'm hoping that someone has or has seen code that I can review to build static Excel 97 files from an existing cube. I don't work much with interface (I used the Office XP Web Components for actual A.S. work), but we have a requirement for a set of users that just gives them lists in Excel - no drill through, or drill down.

I don't have Reporting Services installed - so I'm looking for a sort of simple way to dump the data - different set of data for each user.

Any help would be great!

Thanks,
Mark
