I'm attempting to install the BI Accelerator. I have already installed: * SQL Server 2000 Developer Edition (and SP3) * SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services (and SP3) * Office XP (and SP2) The install fails with the message: "Error while Checking if SQL Server is installed: ... SQL Server does not exist or access denied. (-21467259)" SQL 2000 is set up to run using a username/password that has Administrator rights. I can create databases and tables etc. Any thoughts please anyone? Thanks Geoff |

Just so there´s a record here Apparently the problem with the connection error message "Error while checking if SQL Server is installed: [DNETLIB] [Connection Open](Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or Access is denied (-214767259)" while installing BI Accelerator, is due to SQL Server being installed as a "Named Instance" instead of a default instance. I confirmed this with another guy that had this exact problem. ![]() Ricardo Sada wrote: Hi, I've just bumped into this exact problem. where you able to solve this issue?? thanks, Ricardo Sada Geoff Collishaw wrote: I'm attempting to install the BI Accelerator.
