ADOMD.NET is supposed to be able to connect to any compliant XMLA 1.1
provider. Microsoft only tests connectivity between ADOMD.NET and
Microsoft's XMLA providers. However during the XMLA council meetings
and during XMLA interop event at TDWI, ADOMD.NET application connected
succesfully to Essbase, and was able to both run MDX queries and issue
schema rowsets discover requests. I recommend that you do your own
testing. |

Don't suppose that you could point me at the folk who ran this test at TDWI
or pass on the contents of this thread to them?
I have Essbase set up but am struggling to find any documentation that will
help with setting the correct connection string.
