Default Ragged dimension problems - 10-09-2003 , 11:13 AM

Does somebody can be help in ragged dimension? I already
installed Service Pack 3a, but I still have two problems:
1. When I define the flat table with the ragged dimension
in Dimension Editor display is OK, but in Cube Browser (or
Excel) some level cannot be drilled-down.
2. When I use for ragged dimension the parent-child option
with additional skipped-level columns, in Dimension Editor
this skipped-level column looks like is being ignored and
in Cube browser the leaves that have skipped levels do not
appear at all.
Somebody that can give me some tips. Elzbieta

The problem with hidden members on the grid of the cube browser or Excel is
that drill down is done level by level. This means that if some members do
not have an ancestor on a certain level because that member is hidden, you
can't get to these members by drilling down from the top.

The hidden members resulting from using skipped levels should be hidden in
the dimension editor. However, the treeview does not show an extra level of
indent to reflect the hidden members so it may not be clear that there are
hidden members and that the members shown are actually at a level deper than
the level immediately below their parent. The cube browser will have the
same problems on drill-down that I described above.
