There are two versions -- either of which works fine.
If you can get a copy of the SQL Server 2000 Resource Kit, there is an
earlier copy of the application called Partition Manager. We started with
that to develop the Partition Aggregation Utility. The biggest feature we
added was the ability to auto-count partitions and configurate the estimated
row properties. If you are using either the PAU or Partition Manager to
manually create aggregations (another use), then they are both virtually the
same application.
The PAU is not seperated from the BI Accelerator. There is no separate
download. It is available in compiled and source form in the Tools folder.
The PAU needs DSO installed on the machine where it runs. So if you can run
Analysis Manager on the machine, you can run the PAU. Other than DSO, the
only other requirement is a relatively recent service pack of Visual Basic.
Hope that helps.

Hello Dave:
We are trying to install the Partition Aggregation Utility
in a relatively complex corporate IT landscape (Citrix, etc)
I also know how to extract it from the BI Accelerator Pack
so only that will be installed.
What are the minimum software requirements on the client PC
where it will be installed so that it works (PTSFull etc..)?
Thanks in advance,
