Default Question aboutCube Editor - 04-13-2004 , 10:10 PM

Hi,

Can someone kindly help me find out howe can check which two fields
among two tables are joined if there is a link (line) between a
dimension and the fact table. I havea situation where I want to make
sure that the corrrect fields are linked but when I click on the
link/line (joining the dimension and the fact for example) I do not get
a properties option like we have In the Diagram Editor of SQL Server or
even in Query Designer.

Please help.

Also, I just want to confirm that in the cube editor, it makes no
difference which direction I drag the 1st field from (i.e. which
dimension/fact) and where I drag ge it to. Is this REALLY the case?

Thanks.

For all I know there is no difference which direction you drag the fields
when you make the join. In fact if you create a cube programmatically using
DSO you have just to define the property JoinClause wich is a simple SQL
WHERE clause and you don't specify any INNER or OUTER join.
Bye

What is there to check? The link line points directly to the columns in the join.
