Several times a day, MSAS quits on us - it'll become unresponsive (queries
against it time out) for a few minutes and then all of a sudden come back.
It will happen when there are no cubes or dimensions processing.

Any idea what I should be looking for or how to trouble shoot this? It's my
first venture into MSAS performance tuning so any advice would be very much
appreciated.

Are there any errors that are propped up into the event log that correspond
to the unresponsiveness times?
