Default Push like application based on OLAP cubes wanted... - 07-25-2005 , 12:41 PM

Hi,

We looking for a web based application which can do this:
* Generate prompt rich page (rich= interactive, inline documentation/help,
wizard type)
* Display result in grid
* Export result in Excel
* WORKS with "any" browser on the market, I mean Mac users can access it
with old browsers!!!
* less then 500$ / user for "dynamic" access, less then 5000$ for a "server"
edition

Optional features:
* drag&drop
* drill down
* sort
* charts
* save / management of "queries"

The backend:
SQL 2000 + Analysis Services 2000 + Reporting Services + Win 2000 (2003
planned)

I'm looking for a solution with 0 development (except the development of the
prompt pages)

Maybe a tool like Arcplan Dynasight.
Have you other tool in mind, my experience is more related to Proclarity and
this type of tools.

Thanks.

Jerome.

Jerome,
have you had a look at http://www.reportportal.com/?

This product has very good features and is zero footprint.

I have installed a demo version and was quite amazed. However, we have
not implemented it with a customer yet.

and its IE 6 oriented. doesn't works on Mac computers and other browers.

and don't provide pushing capabilities: I mean rich prompt page with
desciption and easy to use for a non trainned user.
