Default Is PTSFULL or PTSLIT or pre-requisite? - 06-19-2004 , 02:42 AM

Hi,

For the past day I have been trying to install SP3 of AS...

The new problem that I have now run into is that after I removed and
reinstalled AS (SP1) I get an error regarding registry and something
about not being a member of OLAP Admin. group...

I have no clue what is going on and am now shooting in the dark. Do I
need to install either PTSFULL or PTSLITE?

My second (and the stupid part) question is that exactly what do this
Pivot table service (FULL or LIT) offer and where can it be used?

3rd: I'm assuming that what ever this Pivot Table service it, it would
require either Office 2003 or Office XP. RIGHT?

Please help me out here. This is getting really frustrating.

Thanks.

Hello,
PTS is independent from Office.
PTS is the "Client Olap Engine" for AS.
PTS light is without MDAC and PTS Full is with MDAC.

The PTS will be installed by SP3 Setup. so don't care about PTS.
