We have an environment where we have a webbased application based on
IIS, SQL-Server2000 and Analysis Services 2000.
the web server runs on a separate computer from the database server.
Clients are accessing the application through a Citrix server.
For it to work, the citrix server needs the PTSFull package installed.
We use, and have used it successfully on many other installations,
including citrix installations, the PTSfull from SQL Server 2000
Analysis Services service pack 3a.
On one of our customers we have a problem that about once a day we get a
n error where the users are asked to select a Multidimensional Connection.
the user can then select ether an Analysis server connection or a Cube file.

This message only apears when PTSFull has not been installed on the client.
So we have asked our customer to please install it on the citrix
servers, after which the application works again, ie doesn't ask for a
Multidimensional connection.
This error, however, occurs at least once every day.

Is there a known problem with Citrix and MDAC / PTSFull?
