Default PTS and Calculated Member - 12-22-2005 , 11:33 AM

I receive the following error when I try to view a calculated member
(measure) over the intranet. It displays correctly in Analysis Services.

The query could not be processed:
o Formula error - property name is not valid: "Period"

I use the value of the "Period" property in my Time Dimension in the logic
for my calculated member.

Are you using an external libraries in your calculated member? These
need to be deployed to the client in AS 2000 (this has all been moved
server side in AS 2005)

Another thing to check is that the client has the latest version of the
PTS components installed. I have seen instances where the default msolap
driver gets set to the 7.0 version, re-installing PTSLite usually fixes
this.

Thanks for your response, Darren.

I am not using external libraries.

I installed SP4 and am still having the same problem.

Can you think of anything else?

Thanks!

Which Excel version and lanquaqe are you using (2000, xp, 2003, 12) ?

Can you see the Average Sales of the Foodmart 2000 Sales cube in Excel
?

If so than there might be a problem in the formula?

This has been resolved.

The problem was that the member property did not exist at the "All" level.
