Default Which provider should I select? - 07-15-2004 , 07:47 PM

When I select provider for OLAP, there are two choice:
"OLE DB provider for OLAP services" and "OLE DB provider for OLAP services
8.0".

Which one is better?

8.0 is the version for SQL Server 2000.
The one without the version indicator is for SQL Server 7.

Always use "OLE DB provider for OLAP services 8.0".

"OLE DB provider for OLAP services" does not support all features
from Analysis Services (e.g. Parent Child Dimensions if I'm not
mistaken).
