Default Proper way of updating data in a cube - 06-22-2006 , 10:41 AM

Hi,

I have a simple cube which has a web interface. What is the best way of
updating the data inside the cube, so the users who access it online
see the "real-time" data?

I'm using Analysis Services 2005 on XP. I understand the cube is
updated if I select the "Process" option in either the Analysis
Services project or the SQL Server Management Studio.
Is there a way to automate that?

Or perhaps there is MDX query that I can all from the web interface
when the user logs in?

Thanks.

This Tech-Net paper explores how to implement "real-time BI" with AS
2005 - Enterprise Edition may be needed for some features, like
proactive caching, to work:
