Default ProClarity with MS Analysis - Evaluating - 06-16-2004 , 03:42 PM

I am evaluating the ProClarity solution as tool of exploration for the final user. Alguem has notice on strong points and weak points of this tool?
The Olap Server is Microsoft Analysis Service.

Thanks for the attention

Check out the news section. There are many good documents detailing
strengths and weaknesses vs other products.

Hello,

please give us some information about the requirements of your 'final
users'
and the kind of data (financial, technical ...), that will be
analysed.

ProClarity may be a very goot AdHoc-CubeBrowsing-tool,
but I would see some disadvantages in standard reporting,
or usage by users without knowledge of OLAP-structures.

For this requirements I would prefer front-ends like dynaSight,
Cognos, Crystal or something else ...

Hi,

If you only want OLAP support Panorama 4.0 is one of the best !

If you would like to have a full Reporting solution, maybe Report
Portal (with OLAP, Datamining, SQL) is the solution for you!

We have more info, trials etc. on our website: www.gmsbv.nl

Regards, Marco

Well, with the new ProClarity for Reporting Services which integrates into
MS Reporting Services the reporting within ProClarity is now up to the same
levek as Crystal/Cognos etc... IMHO
