This happened to an AS database processing today, have never seen it before:

Error (-2147221421): Internal error (could not update the query log);

This error came after the "writing aggregations and indexes of Partition 'x'
(segment y)" rows.

Any ideas why ?

This happens when AS try to delete query log for processed cube. But
processing of the cube should success even you get this error. Try to move
your query log table into sql server.
