Default Problem processing partition - 02-22-2005 , 02:25 AM

Hello,

I have a wired
problem.
I have a cube
enabled in writing.
It works good , then
I archived it in a
..cab
and restore it in
another computer.
The restoration
works fine but when
I process the cube
it process only the
data of the table
who store the
writing data.
Then I do not see
the data of the
master partition.

Could someone help
me please ?

Thanks

Hello,

I agree with you it is a weird issue. Can you reproduce the issue or did it
only occur once? If you make the cube write-disabling, does the issue also
occur? If you re-processing the cube, does it many any change?

I was not able to reproduce the issue on my side currently. It seems that
we may need more clues to troubleshoot the problem.

Yes I can reproduce it, I reproduced it serveral times before posting

I tried this. I even deleted all data of the fact table who comes
from the writing process. And when I reprocess the cube it reads
only data from the writetable but no from the fact table.
It is realy strange.

Hello,

I am not sure if you tried to write-disable the original cube, re-archive
the original database, and restore the database again to test. Does the
issue also occur at this time? Does the issue only occur with one specific
database? Did you try it with sample database Foodmart?

Does the original partition exists in the restored cube? If so, if you
right click the partition->Process all partitions, is the original
partition processed?

I do not think it is a cab related issue though it can cause problems.

Best Regards,
