Default Problem with Partitions - 03-07-2005 , 10:26 AM

We add a new partition to our Utility Consumptions Cube every month that
contains summerized transactional data from the previous month. Almost every
time that we do so now, Analysis Services marks all of the previous
partitions as Unprocessed, the new partition added to the cube remains the
only Processed partition. Can anyone give me any clues as to what is going
on?

We are using Sql Server Analysis Services 2000 (sp3) on the same backend
also having sp3 - both residing on Windows 2000 Server.

Thanks.

- Raj

I wonder a certain dimension is also rebuilt every month. When you process
the new partition, is there any dimension being processed before it?
