Default Problem with my data. - 06-01-2006 , 07:32 AM

Hello,
can i do the following with Olap and SQL Server2000?
Scenario.
Company Nr. 1
Employee Nr. 1, data: 100
Employee Nr. 2, data: 200
Company Nr. 2
Employee Nr. 2, data: 100 (it is the same dataset as in Company Nr. 1)

Result:
Company Nr 1
Sum: 300 (that is good)
Company Nr 2
Sum: 100 (that is good)
Complete sum:300 (not 400, the data from Employee 2 should not 2 times
adding in the coplete sum)

I hope, you understand my problem
When I make a cube then I get 400 as complete result, but I want 300. Can I
make in the cube, in the dimension or in the measure a setting to get my
wanted result?
Can I solve this problem with Analyses Service

Thanks for your help
Thomas

This sounds like a typical many-many dimension scenario (1 Employee
associated with many Companies), which could be handled cleanly in AS
2005:
