Hello,

I have used the 'Distinct Count' function in Analysis Manager (SQL
Server 2000).
Browsing the data of the cube in AM everything is OK.
Excel 2000:
Opening a existing sheet (with pivot table) or starting a new Pivot
table in Excel I get the following message: "Excel cannot find OLAP cube
<Name>. Either the OLAP database has been changedor you don't have
permissions to connect to the table. Consult your database
administrator."
When I change the cube measure from 'Distinct Count' into 'Count' and
save & process the cube and going back to Excel everything is alright.

Can you help me to solve this problem?

This is because your client machine (where you have Excel 2000) still have
OLEDB driver from OLAP Services 7.0. You should install ptsfull redist from
of Analysis Services 2000 on it.
