Default pre fill cache? - 10-17-2006 , 03:01 PM

I have a cube that was created using the new MS scorecard BI app on top of
sql/as 2005. I am experiencing slow initial responses from the cube that I
can only attribute to lack of cached data. is there a common way to pre-cache
the data by running a series of queries in the backend? or can one pin
something in memory to help performance?
thanks!!

You can certainly "warm" the cache by submitting some queries ahead of
time (for example, scheduling a Reporting Services snapshot with an OLAP
data source); but have you traced the execution of the MDX query, using
SQL Profiler, to confirm that caching will resolve the response issue?
