Default Please Help me: data Explosion when adding multiple level dimensio - 10-21-2005 , 08:57 PM

I a dimension with the following Hierarchy
Region (7)
District (20)
territories (568)

the problem is that my budget fact table is base on Territories
when I create the cube with the territories only I get the correct data
between the various dimension that are also attach to the facts
but when I add the region and the district , the numbers get duplicated
hundres of time.
What am I doing wrong
What should I do
Thank you
Tomas

In your dimension table that contains the Region, District, and Territories,
are you sure that there is only a 1:1 association from the Region ->
District -> Territiories? What I mean is that does a single Territory
belong to only a single district and single Region? The multiples can occur
because of the many-to-many associations.
