Default Pivot table for OLAP cube-Page filter - 01-04-2006 , 01:16 PM

Hi:

I have couple tabs with pivot tables connect to OLAP cubes. Is there
a macro that I can synchronize the page filter when I only change the
choose in the main tab.

Or, is there a way I can caputer the MDX that was issued by Excel?

Thanks

Arale

To capture MDX done by Excel:
Add to connection string following: Log File="c:\OLAPLog.log";
You can change file location as you wish.

Hi Vimas:
Thanks for the reply. I just wonder the connection string is for the
OLAP cube, right?

Yes, OLAP cube.
One of the way to change connection string to save excel as Web page and
athere is an option to add interactivity. Then you can modify connection
string in html file and you will be able to see log file.
It is not going to look as preaty as you think :-). There will be a lot of
calculated sets and complicated calculated members, but still it is starting
point to analyze how it works
