Default Pivot on client - 03-07-2005 , 11:40 PM

We are using Pivot table on client machines as front end.
It seems like we need Analysis Services role (not just read permissions on
the cube or Admin permissions on the cube) to connect to the cube?

Is this right? How is user access implemented in such cases?

thank you

I don't understand your situation fully, but...

When databases or cubes are created initially, there is no role by default.
In this case, only the members of OLAP Administrators Group can access them.

For end users to access to the cubes, you have to add a role, under the
cube, containing the end users.
