Default Partition disk layout - 12-13-2005 , 09:05 PM

I would like to assign each partition in the cube to a different disk /folder.
Is there a way to do that?
Thanks.

You can assign a partition in a differet disk/folder on a remote server, but
I don't think that you could do this on the same server though. What's the
purpose of assigning each partition to a different folder on the same server?

In AS2K, no -- everything has to be under the data folder. You can use mount
points and other techniques to add physical space.

In AS2K5, yes -- all of the meta data has to be under the data folder, but
the storage location can be changed for partition files to be stored in any
device/folder on the system.
