Default OWC report from two different OLAP Servers - 06-26-2006 , 06:32 AM

Hi,

I need information about creating a report from two differnet OLAP
servers.

I have two Different OLAP servers - OLAP1 & OLAP2 having two different
databases - DB1 and DB2 respectively.

I want to generate a single report using Excel Pivot linking to the
cubes existing in these OLAP1 and OLAP2 servers.

Is their any way that I can achieve it?? If else can anyone suggest me
the ways to achieve it.

Thanks in advance
Siva

you can't "connect & merge" the result of 2 cubes.
In excel, you can create 2 worksheet, each one connected to each cube, and
then create formula(s) to display the results of these 2 cubes into 1
worksheet.

at the cube server level, you can connect use a cube from the server 1 into
the server 2, but to allow a good analysis, you have to insure that the
dimensions are the same. I have never do this type of linked cube, so maybe
there is some other restrictions or constraints. omebody else can help you
on this.
