Can anyone tell me the problem and solution for this following: Analysis Server Error: Operating system error ' Overlapped I/O operation is in progress. Overlapped I/O operation is in progress. I've been trying to reprocess a cube all week ... it's had been a 20 hour process and we stopped it once after 48 hours thinking it was hung, once the server rebooted unexpectedly, once a techie stopped it when it was running.... so it's been a long week. and now after running 16 hours I get this message with a failed process and rollback. Any help appreciated! Thanks |

I receive similar errors on a 32bits system. everything works fine last week and we have added 2 new databases in SSAS2005 and now we have this type of error. the work around we have found is to process sequentially the cubes instead of in parallel. This is AS 2k yet running on a 64 bit machine, emulating 32 bit (we're in the process of changing over to 2005 version). We're currently on the speculation that we ran out of space on the partition and are processing again having moved to another partition. Will know in 20 hours!
