Not sure if it was deleted or just didn't migrate properly when we changed servers but the OLAP Administrators group is missing from the Windows Groups. Any ideas how can I recreate the group? Thanks! |

did you try : Control Panel, Administrative tools, Computer Management, Right-click on groups, select New Gropup, and add a group called OLAP Administrators - then add your users Fergal "J Jetson" wrote: Not sure if it was deleted or just didn't migrate properly when we changed servers but the OLAP Administrators group is missing from the Windows Groups. What are the permissions that the group should have? Is it enough that the new group is called "OLAP Administrators" or does it needs to have permissions granted to it? As well as Jasper's point, my group has rights to the following folders: D:\Analysis Services\data C:\Program Files\Microsoft Analysis Services\Bin As far as I recall, OLAP administrative privileges are nothing more than these rights. Rgds, Paul Ibison |
