Default OLAP startup takes long time and more memory - 10-10-2005 , 06:48 AM

Hi,
The OLAP database takes considerably long time to start more than 20 mins
and also comsumes lot of memory to start about 1.6 GB.
The toal size of the cube database is less than 800 MB.
Also this is just a development setup.
There are 3 cubes each one of them are on single partition.

Can someone please help me out with the same.

Regards,

Shirish

at the startup AS load into memory the dimensions.
so if you have a lot of dimensions and if these dimensions are big, then you
use a lot of memory.

Limit the size of your dimensions in your dev. computer
