We a have an occasional problem where the OLAP service crashes out. We get
the MSSQLSERVEROLAPSERVICE has failed unexpectedly' message in the event log
and the service then tries to restart but hangs midway through starting and
just sits in starting mode. This has happens about once every six weeks or
so and the only way out is to reboot the server... anybody got any ideas what
may be causing this??

We run SQL 2000 latest SP etc. on Win2k Advanced server box with 6gb RAM -
there is generally at least 2gb RAM free at any time and the crash seems to
occur even when the only connections are end users performing queries.
