Default OLAP Server Connectivity - 08-09-2004 , 08:33 AM

I am having problems connecting to an OLAP server through VPN. When I am
logged directly into the network, I am able to connect without any trouble..
but over VPN is gives me an error which says the server does not exist or
access denied.
Please let me know if anyone has come across anything similar..
thks!
allie

It depends on how your VPN is configured. Here at MSFT, our VPN makes it
look like we are on our internal network when we connect via VPN. In this
situation, domain traffic is routed through the VPN like any other data --
so you can use Windows authentication with no problems. Is your machine
where you are VPN'ing in from on the same domain as your server?
