Hi Guys,
i am managing an OLTP system using sql 2000 and these
system is running for last 4 years and now having 25
million records for main transaction table.

is it advisable to go for OLAP Systems to get fast summary
report.

if so pls advice me how i should start.

Apart from reading Books-On-Line, buy Reed Jacobson's SQL Server 2000
Analysis Services: Step by Step.
You should then have a good idea as to whether OLAP will be of any
help to you.
