Default OLAP DB deleted? - 04-15-2005 , 09:28 AM

I have MS Project Server 2003. It has one OLAP DB called MSP_CUBE which has
3 cubes in it. One morning, after logging in I noticed the OLAP DB was
gone...There was no MSP_CUBE. Since I didn't have exernal logging turned on,
we have no idea what happened. I've since turned on logging.

What sort of events could trigger dropping the database like this? I
checked the system security. Only 3 people can log into this Server, and
only from within the intranet. It seems unlikely to be security related.

Any ideas?

In the order of most likely to have happened to least likely have happened:

1) Someone deleted the OLAP database in the Analysis Services front end
2) Someone deleted the Access database for the repository (or someone
dropped the SQL Server repository database if it's been migrated to SQL)
3) Someone deleted all rows in the repository that correspond to that OLAP
database and all its objects

Restore from backup if possible (the data folder for the Analysis Services
install, and the Access repository database/SQL repository database).
