A colleague has recently had her laptop rebuilt with
windows xp and office xp. She is now unable to connect to
olap sourced pivot tables. When you go through the pivot
table wizard, all the databases and cubes are visible, and
it allows you to select one, but then it falls over on the
next step of the wizard when it tries to retrieve the
data. The same user can access the same cubes via my PC
(which also has windows and excel xp installed, although a
different build I understand). Has anyone come across this
before? Are there some settings that need to be checked
when office is installed?

Not sure whether this will help you at all, but I would try to
unregister msolap80.dll and register it.
