Could someone tell me where the data files are stored once a cube has been
restored from a CAB?
In much the same way as you can determine where the mdf and ldf files of a
database can be located when i restore , i would also like to determine where
the data for a cube will go.

FOr SQL Server 2000 / Analysis Services 2000
In Analysis Manager, right click on your AS Server and click Properties.
The files are stored in the Data folder location on the first tab. (General)

You can change the location by clicking the Browse button and choose a
different location after having installed AS, or you can choose a different
location during setup. If you just go with the default settings when
installing AS; I think the data folder is located at c:\program
files\microsoft analysis services\Data (or something similar).
