I am in need of an OLAP cube developer for a client. I am looking for
someone in the Chicagoland area for a Full Time Position. Cube
development is not my forte, so I am going to leave this to someone
else. I thought that a user group would be the best place to look. Here
is the job description:

Cube (Microsoft OLAP) Developer, Full Time Employee:

Developer will play a key role within Business Intelligence (BI) team.
The candidate will have strong OLAP (On-Line Analytical Processing),
ETL (extract, transform and load), multi-dimensional design and
administration skills.

Required Skills:

· Should have 3 or more years overall experience with database
design, implementation and SQL report development.

· Minimum of 2 years experience delivering solutions with
Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services.

· Experience should include requirements gathering, analysis
and design of ETL processes using DTS packages, multi-dimensional
databases, and OLAP cubes.

· Experience should also include delivering OLAP data to end
users and a strong understanding of MDX (Multi-Dimensional
Expressions).

· Must be able to build or alter queries to generate complex
datamarts.

· Must be able to administer SQL Server and Analysis Services
and improve performance.

· Must have Healthcare background.

· Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University, or
applicable work experience.

Desired Skills:

· Experience with BI tools (Cognos suite preferred -
specifically ReportNet, Metrics Manager, & Upfront).

· Strong business analysis experience.

Non-Technical Skills:

· Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Should be detail oriented, and have strong organizational
skills.

· Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team
environment
