Default OLAP/Analysis Services - 11-15-2005 , 07:37 PM

Stupid Question for the day here: I am running a SQL Cluster at work and
would like to setup a stand-alone server to run Analysis Services. I would
like to know if Analysis Services can connect to multiple instances of SQL
that are running on virtual servers in a clustered environment?

Any help would be greatly appreciated....

You should be able to connect without problems using the normal
<server>/<instance> naming convention in the connection string.
Obviously if you are using AS2k the standard limitation that a single
cube must come from a single data source still applies. Otherwise there
should not be any issues.

I have a client running a 64-bit Active/Active SQL cluster and we can
connect to databases on either instance without any trouble.
