Default OLAP Administrators - 03-01-2005 , 04:17 AM

Hi,

is it necessary to be a member of the OLAP Administrators user group in
order to connect to the Analysis services database/cube by Pivot Table
Services in Excel 2003?

Kind regards,
Alice Valkova

No, it's not necessary.

Instead, as an end user, the member must be added to the role of the cube.

There are more detailed information at "Creating Security Roles" from BOL.
