Default Offline Cube File Sizes - 12-09-2003 , 10:59 AM

Hi! I tried creating 2 offline cube files (*.cub) from the same source. I
created it one after the other. I noticed they had slightly different file
sizes (1kb difference). There has been no changes to the OLAP Cube or the
source data. Why are the cub files not exactly identical in size?

Related to this, is there a way to compare 2 OLAP cubes and determine if
they are an exact match?

Thanks!

There could be many explanations why the sizes are different. For example,
when local cube is created from the server, the order of records is not
deterministic - therefore the segment distribution could be different.
