Default Offline cube - 04-09-2004 , 05:20 AM

Hi All,

I'm looking into using offline cubes for use with Data Analyzer. I've
created a simple cube (MOLAP, 7 aggregations), for which I can create a
local .cub file using Excel (pivot table, offline cube). However, if I try
to create a local .cub file on a more complex cube (also MOLAP, 327
aggregations), I get an error message after the fourth step ('Finish') of
the offline cube wizard.

The message is:
Microsoft (R) OLE DB Provider for Analysis Services :
Data source provider error.

The selection of other (smaller) dimensions in combination with measures
does not change anything, the error always pops up. I can not find any
reference to limitations (other than disk space) for offline cube files,
which causes me to wonder what it is about this cube that prevents me from
creating a offline cube file.

Suggestions anyone?

Best regards,
EB
