Hello,

I have a brand new SQL Server installation and I am copying Analysis
Services databases from the old server using Archive/Restore (this seems the
most effiicent way to copy an entire database in one go). No problems with
that.

I was trying to clean up the databases by removing some redundant
development dimensions and cubes (we don't yet have a separate
development/production environment).

However the deletion is extremely slow - to the point where so far I have
been unable to delete successfully any dimensions or cubes (after an hour or
so I kill it). Any clues as to what might be wrong? The server has 3GB of
memory and dual Xenon 3.4GB processors, so there is plenty of grunt available.
