My aggregatoin wizards stops at optimazatoin level 22%, when designing
aggregatoins for my cube.

I have tried 'Estimated storage reaches' set to 100 MB, and I have tried
'Performance gain reaches 45%' and I have tried to let the aggregatoin design
wizard finding aggregation with the option 'I click Stop', but no matter
which option I have choosen, it stops at 22% percent optimizatoin level, 229
aggregatoins and 29,7 MB space.

My fact table contains 28 mill records, and several dimensions contain
several million membres, and I have 17 dimensions. It is quite a complex
cube, but could that be the reason why AS (2005) will not make more
aggregations?

I am guessing that if you would specify more candidate attributes for
aggregation designs, you could be able to design more aggregates.
Also, make sure that you have realistic numbers in
dimension/attribute/cube/partition counts. AS might choose not to create
aggregations based on these counts. If nothing helps, set number of fact
records to really high and see if that makes AS build more aggregates. YOu
could also play with key dimension counts also.

Note: After you designed aggregates, make sure they are used by running
profiler while querying your data.
