No way to have a dynamic member Name ?
I need to be able to manage more than 1 language in my AS database.
Thanks

Not with 2000. You can only have multiple cubes or multiple dimensions
within the same cube which support different languages. I.e one
"Spanish_product" dimension and one "English_product" dimension. Hits
performance, unfortunately.
SQL 2005 fully supports multilingual, but it's only beta 2 by now.

Steffen

We do have multilingual member name support in SQL Server 2000. I don't know
if that gets you all of the way towards what you need, but it does work
well. See BOL under the topic: "Multiple Language Implementation using
Member Properties".

For SQL Server 2005, we've expanded the feature to include translations for
any object name as well, such as levels, dimensions, etc.

Bob

There is also another way to potentially cater for this but then you are
influenced by the front-end reporting tool that you are using as to whether
it can cater for what I think you are trying to achieve. Can you explain
what you mean by "dynamic member name" and how you think this would work?
