I installed the SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services, but seem to have trouble authenticating and loggin on to do anything. I have heard you should run your OLTP and OLAP databases on separate machines, so this one has JUST the OLAP services installed. My question is, are you supposed to install SQL Server 2000 to control security, and THEN install OLAP? Or does OLAP have its own security? I know the regular database asks you to set the 'sa' login password during installation, but I saw nothing similar for OLAP. Am I missing something? Thanks! |
