Default New Add-in Excel for AS from Microsoft - 05-10-2004 , 11:17 AM

Hi all,

I saw during various Microsoft meeting and conference an addin for excel
which offered a lot more than PTS (ie, each cells was linked to the cube
through a formula, so you would rearrange the data and present in a nice
way...à

The problem is I was told during this briefing it would be released before
some time and I had to wait. I couldn't find any informations on the MS Olap
or Excel web site, so can any [MSFT] confirm me this, I really need this
addin because it's the only thing that keeps my users on Hyperion's Essbase
: the Excel addin.

Thanks in advance,
Christophe

I am sorry but the Addon has not yet shipped yet. I've asked the program
manager responsible for the product to make an announcement on this
newsgroup once it is available.

It is currently scheduled to release to the web on 6/2/04.
See:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/solu...s/default.mspx

It is the last entry in the "Coming Soon" section at the bottom. Once it is
released, additional information and a download will be posted on that page.

Thanks Dave,

I'll try to wait until then. (there's no way to get a beta or something, is
there? )

Best regards,
Christophe
