Try the microsoft tool set for a quick and easy solution
(Analysis Manager, Pivot Table Services, Data Analyzer).
It may be a bit generic and not ideal for every
situation, but you can customize somewhat. It uses tools
you are probably familiar with and runs off a SQL2k back
end. Create cubes in AM (and mining models) and give it
to the client through a Excel pivot table(everyone knows
excel). Just a comment

Hi,

My company has the intention to start offering services
related to business
intelligence in Mexico, my objective is to develop the
service offer and
select the tools that we'll be using or/and selling.

But I found that Business Intelligence is a broad field
and I need help to
start ASAP.

¿Where do you recommend me to start?
¿Have you read any good book on the basics?
¿Do you know of any company offering training?

Any comments will be very appreciated. Please cc to

Thanks,
