do you talk about creating a new column in the DSV? (1)
or creating a calculated member against a dimension in a cube ? (2)

option 1 = SQL statement
option 2 = MDX statement

you can't directly create calculation into a dimension.

in AS2000 there is no DSV, in this case you can write SQL statement
instead-of column mapping to fill a level key or caption.
