Default Multi Parent-Child Dimensions - 09-08-2005 , 02:50 AM

Hello,
I'm building a cube with a normal parent child dimension. Now i want in some
cases create a multiple parent relation with one or more children. Has
somebody used this technic in a Parent-Child dimension or do i have to make
an other kind of dimension structure to solve this problem.

Can't do it in AS2K. In AS2K5 we have a new dimension type called
many-to-many which will do it. But in AS2K any given member can have one and
only one parent.

Hi Dave,
The one which is in BOL or on tutorials explains it with a junction
table but i wish to know in what cases this new features play an
important role

Can you please pass on an link which explains Many-to-many dimensions
to understand it better.

Highly appreciate your earliest response

Regards,
Prasanna

Just look at many to many in any one of the CTP SQL2K5 BOL help files.
It is a new feature which is fairly well documented.
