Default msolap.asp on win2003 - 03-13-2005 , 03:48 PM

I just upgraded a server from Win2k to Win2003. Prior to the upgrade, I had
an olap website setup in IIS that was working just fine. After the upgrade,
I have re-setup the olap website and I can't get it to work for the life of
me. I've followed the steps in both of these articles, as well as others,
but to no avail.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...l_datapump.asp
http://www.windowsitpro.com/Windows/...909/40909.html

One article I read mentions that if the site is setup ok, then going to
http://mysite/msolap.asp will give me a blank page. I remember this from
the initial time the olap site was setup too. I can't get it to give me a
blank page to save my life. It keeps giving me a 404 error.

Is there anything special I need to do to get msolap.asp to work on win2003?

Thanks, Andre

Just in case anyone out there runs across this same issue, I thought I'd
post a follow-up. This issue was caused by the fact that in Win2003, when
you install IIS, it doesn't install ASP. You have to drill down further in
the installation details to get to ASP - Under IIS/WWW/ASP.

I found several articles out there on how to setup Analysis Services to work
over http, including a few in the KB and MSDN. Maybe someone at Microsoft
could upgrade these articles to include this step for setting up IIS in
Windows 2003 - especially since MS is phasing out support for Win2k!
