Default msmdsrv.exe resource hog - 06-20-2006 , 12:25 PM





AS 2000 sp4, windows 2003. msmdsrv.exe is using 2.4 GB of RAM continuously.
Where can I configure this?

you can remove unused cubes??

bounce the service every night??

upgrade to sql 2005 and use x64?

good luck i wish i had better news for you

it's an option; but i sure wouldn't lower it.
it's just in 'analysis manager' under the server-level properties.
