Default moving cubes from one server to another - 06-08-2006 , 03:56 PM

Hi:

I have SQL 2000 installed on two different machines, ServerA and
ServerB.
..
I have a SQL Server database on ServerA and cubes that get data from
that database. I have recreated the database on ServerB and now want to
move the cubes I have defined on ServerA to ServerB.

I couldn't find a way to do this-I expected a right click option on
this.

Any help?
Kayda

Right click on the Analysis services database in analysis manager mmc
and click on "Archive database" . This will make a backup of the whole
analysis server database (all the cubes within that database)

Or you could register serverB in Analysis manager and simply "Copy" and
"Paste". But as I read it you've created a SQL Server database on another
server ? So if you want your cube to get data from another server simply
change your datasource..
